Doug Hanson
BSC INSTRUCTOR
Doug served at the Christian Leaders' Training College in Papua New Guinea for fifteen years, providing biblical training to men and women of the South Pacific. While there, Doug taught a wide range of Bible, Theology, and Missions courses in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. He also served as Undergraduate Academic Dean and later as Graduate Academic Dean. Doug served as editor of the Melanesian Theological Journal, which published articles relevant to Christianity in the South Pacific. He earned a MDiv and a ThM from Capital Bible Seminary in Lanham, Maryland and a Doctor of Intercultural Studies from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon, Doug wrote his master's thesis on "A Critique of Open Theists' Atonement Views within the Context of Mission Theology" and his doctoral thesis on "Contextual Christology for Papua New Guineans."
